Haukafell's Rune Study Nights
For
the first run through the Runes, we discussed the beginning basics and
then moved into each Rune - one per evening (additionally reviewing
that Rune and our personal experiences at the next meeting before
beginning the next). In the time between classes, each one of us will independently study and meditate, really do our best to work on the Rune we last studied. Then we
will bring back anything that we learned as a result of our studies and
inspiration. Then we will proceed to the next Rune, and continue
through the 24 Runes of the Elder Futhark. Are we going to stop there? No way! This is a never-ending area of learning! We are also covering history/archeology, the Aettir, uses, lore, and much more.
You do not need to be with us from the beginning to join in.
However, you must know that because this is run by us, it will
naturally be Heathen-centric, and we will be studying the Runes in the
context of their origins...not through the lens of the modern,
neo-Pagan scope.

Our classes will meet every other Thursday evening @ 7pm and usually run for about two hours.
NOTE: This class DOES differ from the Rune workshop, because
this is an ongoing study group with our Kindred. The Rune workshop is a
single workshop Rebecca introduces the runes to those in attendance
(usually at festivals, community events, in local shops, personal
settings, and privately).
